About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Advice Coach to join our growing Distribution team. Reporting to the National Advice Manager, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing the capabilities of our Advisers through ongoing training, coaching, and mentoring.
You will play a crucial role in empowering the Advisers to deliver exceptional advice and service to our clients, strengthening our market position as a leading KiwiSaver and wealth manager.
As an Advice Coach, you will:
- Work alongside the National Advice Manager to define and achieve new business targets and objectives for our Advisers.
- Develop coaching plans that reinforce key success factors tailored to each GNR’s needs.
- Conduct coaching calls and regular one-on-one in person coaching sessions to drive continuous improvement in adviser performance.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to Advisers to elevate the quality of advice and customer service.
- Manage QA escalations and conduct risk-based QA of adviser meetings and provide outcome to support learning and improvement.
- Proactively identify key business risks and ensure processes are in place for incident and near miss reporting.
- Work with the Distribution Compliance Lead and Compliance Team to ensure full compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
About You
You are a customer focused professional with a minimum of 5 years’ experience within financial services. You may come from a B2C or frontline customer service background, previously excelled in sales/business development roles and have a deep understanding of the market we operate in & consumer psychology.
You are also a subject matter expert in advice and have demonstrated success in a coaching or training role, including developing and delivering training programs and mentoring or leading a team of sales professionals or financial advisers.

- Adaptability and Resilience: Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and regulatory environments, and to guide others through these changes.
