About the Role
We are on the lookout for a proactive and driven Business Development Manager to be part of our high performing Distribution team. You will grow and expand our Third Party Adviser network and foster strong partnerships with the existing Advisers. As the linchpin between our company and the adviser community, you will play a pivotal role in our long-term success.
This role is currently advertised in Auckland and Christchurch but we are open to outstanding talents based in other locations.
As a Business Development Manager, you will
- Visit adviser businesses in their offices to embed Generate, our tools and provide coaching on growing their KiwiSaver and Managed Funds business
- Engage and onboard new Advisers, to help embed KiwiSaver and support their business growth.
- Grow and strengthen existing Adviser relationships, providing ongoing training and business support. Identify Adviser needs and ways to enhance their systems, processes and tools.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to address these needs and deliver market leading solutions.
- Actively represent Generate at conferences & events throughout New Zealand.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify industry trends, evolving market dynamics, and potential opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the Third Party and wider-Distribution team, to solve adviser problems and deliver true value to their business.
About You
You are a self-driven Business Development or Sales professional who has a deep understanding of intricacies of the regulated financial services industry and a clear passion for driving growth.
With excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, you are able to collaborate and build rapport across the business and with external Advisers/partners. You are passionate about building and nurturing strong partnerships and coaching others to ensure they equipped with the right product knowledge to grow their business with us. You also have a proactive approach when it comes to meeting & exceeding your goals and seeking new opportunities for our business.
Attributes that may help you succeed:
- Proven success as a Business Development Manager, Relationship Manager or Sales Executive within Financial Services
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding measurable outcomes
- NZ Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) or relevant qualification desirable
- Experience working with Third-Party Advisers, channel or Distribution partners desirable
- Ability to travel regularly as per your own planned schedule
- Demonstrated ability to coach and inspire others towards achieving common goals
- Flexibility to adapt to change and find innovative solutions
- Previous experience using Salesforce desirable
